Deaf/Hard of Hearing - Cochlear Implant Specialist  (DHH-CI)

There are many students who have Cochlear Implants and attend school in their home community.  The Deaf/Hard of Hearing - Cochlear Implant Specialist is available to assess the student and work with IEP teams to develop a plan to address the student's needs.  In addition, s/he can consult with classroom staff about environmental and instructional accommodations that might help the student.  The DHH-CI specialist can also help make recommendations about the need for interpreters and assist in supervising interpreters.
